Have The Pub To Yourselves For The Night
Birthdays, wedding weekends, wakes, the odd work do that got out of hand. For one evening our kitchen, our cellar, our fire - and nobody else's booking to work around - are entirely yours.

A Real Night At The Pub
Footage from a rehearsal dinner we hosted for fifty in the beer garden - the same kind of evening we'd build around any guest.
Run By People Who've Thrown A Few Of These Before
Anna
Anna brings two decades of styling work from film, television and advertising productions in Los Angeles to every evening here - how a table looks by candlelight, how a room should feel. She's usually the first person your guests talk to, making sure everyone feels looked after from the moment they walk in.
Paul
Paul's the one in the kitchen. Years of building and running venues taught him the logistics, but what he cares about is simpler: sourcing properly, cooking with real attention, and making sure the food means something, whether it's a plate for two or eighty.
Between us, we've thrown a lot of parties. We just happen to own the pub now.
No Room Hire Fee. Just A Minimum Spend That Becomes Your Evening.
We don't charge for the room. Instead we ask for a minimum spend - usually between £3,000 and £4,000, depending on the night and your numbers - and every pound of it goes on food, drink, atmosphere and service for you and your guests.
Room hire fee: £0
Typical minimum spend: £3,000 - £4,000
Where it goes: food, drink and service
Two Ways To Take Over The Pub
Full Buyout - the whole pub, just for you
We close to everyone else. The bar's yours, the fire's yours and, weather permitting, the garden too, with the pub as a warm fallback if it isn't. Up to around 80 guests. Best for birthdays, receptions and big nights.
Group Table - your own table, pub still open
For smaller parties who don't need the whole building. We set you up with a fixed menu and your own corner, and everyone else carries on around you. 6 guests and up, 2 or 3 courses. Best for milestone dinners and smaller gatherings.
How An Evening Might Run
Every menu is a conversation, not a set list. Sometimes we build on dishes from our regular menu; just as often we start with your favourite things to eat and drink and build the whole evening around them. Here's one example - not a menu to choose from.
6:00pm - Doors, and a drink in hand
Guests arrive to a welcome cocktail poured for the room. The bar is open from here, all drinks at our usual prices.
7:00pm - For the table
A sharing plate to start while everyone settles - nachos, a board, something to pass around. From around £19.50 a serving.
7:30pm - The main event
A choice of two or three mains, plated and served together - rotisserie chicken and a fresh salad are regular favourites. Around £29.50 a head.
9:00pm - Something sweet
A classic pud, served family style - Victoria sponge with fresh cream and strawberries never lets anyone down. Around £10 a head.
Late - Last orders, your call
The bar stays open at our usual prices for as long as you've booked us.
How Booking Works
1. Tell us the date and how many of you there'll be.
That's all we need to check what's possible and what shape of evening suits your numbers.
2. We build the menu together.
Tell us what you and your guests love to eat and drink. That becomes the starting point.
3. You confirm the date.
One minimum spend, agreed up front. No separate hire invoice, no surprises.
4. We handle the rest.
Kitchen, bar, service, the fire lit. You just turn up and enjoy it.
