The annual Lodsworth Village Fete takes place on the Bank Holiday Monday 28th May, and is always a wonderful community event. We will be hosting the traditional Fete Supper at the Hollist Arms - also a wonderful community event! There will be cold buffet of Homebaked Ham on the bone, Coronation Chicken, Poached Salmon, Goats Cheese & Onion Tart, accompanied by new potatoes and a whole range of salads. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children, and must be purchased in advance - available now from the Hollist Arms. Do come along to extend the Fete fun!
Our Lunch Club will take place on Wednesday 9th May.
This month the menu is:
Sussex beef meatballs, spaghetti, cheddar cheese
Warm new potato, smoked trout and watercress salad, yoghurt and dill dressing
Salted caramel chocolate pot, whipped cream
Seasonal cheese, fruit, house chutney, water biscuits

Our very wonderful team of decorators, plumbers and electricians have been hard at work for a week now, and have made some wonderful progress. We're not quite dressed yet, but looking forward to cracking on for the rest of this week, ready to be up and running this Saturday evening ( 17th March). We very much hope that everyone will like our new look.
We'll be showing all of the matches in the RBS 6 Nations 2018 tournament here at the Hollist Arms (apart from the weekend of the 10th / 11th March when we will be closed for refurbishment). Since rugby support is hungry & thirsty work, we have a rugby special on offer for all matches: A Sausage & Onion or Bacon Baguette with Chips and a pint for £10.
This is advance notice that we're going to be closing on 5th March to refurbish our kitchen and to give the bar, restaurant and snug a lick of paint. We re-open weekend of the 17th March. We apologise in advance for the inconvenience, but look forward to being refreshed and ready for the summer!
Our lunch club in February may be a romantic affair - it takes place on Wednesday 14th February. This month there is a choice of Bell's sausages with creamy mash, winter greens and gravy or Smoked haddock and bacon risotto, rocket and parmesan. For dessert Rhubarb food with stem ginger biscuits or a selection of seasonal cheese. Two courses for £15 with a small glass of house wine.
We are very much looking forward to hosting a New Year's Eve party at the Hollist this year. There will be a free range Hog Roast, served with chipotle sauce, apple & sage jelly, salads and baguette. There will also be a Disco, so that you can dance your way into 2018! Tickets are £20 to include Hog Roast & Disco. 7.30pm - 12.30am.

Our December Bridge night will take place on Thursday 14th December. The menu for the evening will be:

Art at the Hollist showcases the work of wonderful local artists, all in support of the The Sussex Snowdrop Trust. Come along and see the work of our talented community.

Every second Wednesday in the month we host a lunch club at the Hollist Arms. This is a chance for locals to meet for a light lunch and small glass of wine. It is also when the village hall lottery is drawn!
The menu for is usually announced 2-3 weeks before the date. It is displayed on our noticeboard and also usually appears on our Facebook page. Booking is essential, by either calling or dropping in.

Every third Wednesday of the month is Bridge Night at the Hollist. Supper is served at 7pm, Bridge starts at 7.30pm.
